This package offers candidates an economical way to get started reaching those higher GMAT and TOEFL scores and preparing the application that will land them a place at the school of their choice. The fast-paced and effective test-taking methods and review material in the Online Group classes will help candidates excel at the GMAT and TOEFL exams, while 10 hours of MBA coaching with an MBA Center expert will provide them with a solid base (evaluation of application, drafting and re-drafting of essays) on which an outstanding application can be constructed. 

 

GMAT + TOEFL Online Group courses:

At the MBA Center, GMAT + TOEFL Online group classes take place every Saturday of the year. The course comes to a total of 32 hours and is completed over 8 consecutive Saturdays.

GMAT candidates will undergo rigorous training, discovering the MBA Center fundamental math and verbal reviews fundamental, as well as learning certain test-taking strategies developed to produce results in the special computer-based format of the GMAT exam. These effective classes come highly recommended to international TOEFL & GMAT candidates who have never taken the test before. There’s a lot of work to be done. Get started now!

Highly useful as a practice material alongside the GMAT Online Group class, are the brand-new 12 GMAT tests available using our Online GMAT Adaptive platform (available in the E-Store). This dynamic software is especially designed to train and develop the skills learnt in the Online Group class.

MBA Coaching (10h) :

 

The 10 hour MBA coaching package offers you an effective way to cover the groundwork necessary to create a winning application. Following an in-depth analysis of your profile, history, strengths and weaknesses, your MBA coach will help you plan the overall presentation of your application, including the correct outlining of your project proposal. Your coach will also get you started on drafting effective application essays, as well as on presenting an attractive résumé. Guidance can also be provided for helping you target the right people to approach for letters of recommendation.

 

At the MBA Center Tokyo, our coaches have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in assessing and improving potential MBA student’s applications. Therefore, working with an MBA Center coach brings you the benefit of their years of experience placing candidates in some of the top MBA programs all around the world.

1) Project positioning:

This is the most important aspect of the MBA application: it is vital to make a convincing case for the professional project that you intend to undertake after your MBA studies and show how the MBA will enable you to develop this project. Our coaches will help to strengthen your application with a concrete and comprehensive project outline.

 

2) Leadership skills:

Our coaches will help you to recognise the nature and expression of your leadership qualities and aid you in highlighting demonstrations of these strengths in your application.

 

3) International exposure:

Whichever school you are applying to, it is important to show that you are truly at ease in a global environment, ready to work and thrive on an international playing field. Our coaches will work on bringing out the international components of your background, showcasing your international exposure as best as possible.

 

4) Extra Curricular activities:

Individual application to a top business school generally requires 10 to 15 hours of coaching (without including interview preparation). An additional 5 hours, on average, may be required for each additional school. However, 10 hours of coaching is enough time to create the solid foundation of an excellent application. Additional hours can always be booked should the candidate desire them. 

The main elements of the coaching process are:


Introduction: A 2 hour meeting with your selected coach to determine 
the key elements of your application positioning.



Essays: Drafting and re-drafting your essay to bring out the absolute best in your application can take from 8 to 12 hours. Here coaches both advise you on the content of your essay and provide language coaching. MBA Center coaches are experienced with positioning essays for the INSEAD application, and know how to formulate projects by relating it both to the candidate’s background as well as the program’s specificity.

Recommendation letters: An important step in the process, your coach will spend an hour or two helping you 
target people to recommend your skills.



Résumé: Our coaches will help you re-write and 
edit your résumé.

 This usually takes 1 hour or less.

Candidates who have succeeded in passing the first phase of the application process will be invited to interviews where they will have to defend their applications. MBA coaches are specially trained in interview techniques and can help you to give a convincing and confident oral presentation of your application.

Interview preparation usually takes about 5 to 10 hours for the first school, with 2 more hours for each additional school.
